Story

Who we are

IntendAble is a full-service software development company based in Ja-Ela, Sri Lanka. We were founded in 2025, and today a team of 11 to 50 people builds mobile apps, web platforms, automation and connected-device systems.

We cover the whole lifecycle: requirements, UI/UX design, development, quality assurance, launch, and the maintenance and new features that follow. Clients work with one team and talk directly to the engineers building their product, instead of juggling several freelancers.

Most of our clients are very small, small and medium businesses, running platforms they depend on every day: fleet tracking, workforce attendance and payroll, and the tools between them. We work in English, Sinhala and Tamil.

Direction

Mission and vision

What we are for
Mission
To take ideas from the first conversation to a live product, and keep them running, secure and growing after launch.
Where we are going
Vision
Software that growing businesses can rely on, built and supported by a team that stays with them for the long term.

Values

How we make decisions

These are the rules we apply when a trade-off is genuinely difficult.

Say the real constraint
If a deadline, budget or architecture will not work, we say so at the point we know — not at the retrospective.
Decide on evidence
Performance, quality and model behaviour get measured. Opinion is a starting point, not a conclusion.
Prefer the boring option
New technology has to earn its place against the cost of the team learning and operating it.
Own the whole path
Design through operation. Nobody on the team gets to say the problem is someone else's stage.
Keep changes reversible
Increments, feature flags and tested rollbacks. Big-bang cutovers are a last resort, not a plan.
Document for the next person
Architecture decisions, runbooks and known trade-offs are deliverables, not favours.

Approach

The delivery model

The same six stages on every project, from requirement gathering to ongoing service.

01
Requirements
We learn your business, users and goals, then turn them into clear specifications, scope and estimates.
- Specifications
- Scope and estimate
02
UI/UX design
Wireframes, prototypes and clean, user-friendly interfaces, agreed before development starts.
- Wireframes
- Clickable prototypes
03
Development
Mobile apps, web applications, backends and APIs, built in milestones with regular demos.
- Working releases
- Sprint demos
04
Quality assurance
Manual and automated testing on every release, so problems are caught before your users see them.
- Automated suites
- Test reports
05
Launch
App Store and Google Play publishing, web hosting, domains, SSL, and cloud and server setup.
- Published apps
- Production hosting
06
Ongoing service
Maintenance, monitoring, bug fixes, updates and new features after launch. We support what we build.
- Monitoring
- Updates and new features

Technology philosophy

Choose fewer things, and know them deeply.

A narrow stack is a deliberate constraint. It means reviews are meaningful, incidents are diagnosable, and any engineer on the team can pick up any part of the system.

Narrow by default
One primary language, one primary database, one deployment model — until a real requirement justifies another.
Boring where it counts
Novelty is spent on the product problem, not on the infrastructure underneath it.
Explicit over implicit
Configuration, contracts and data flow are visible in the codebase rather than inferred from behaviour.
Measured, then changed
Optimisation follows a profile. Refactors follow a reason that can be stated in one sentence.

Capabilities

What we work with

The current toolset. It changes slowly and deliberately.

Apps for iOS and Android from one codebase.

FlutterCross-platform apps for iOS and Android
App StoreiOS publishing, review and releases
Google PlayAndroid publishing and releases
Device featuresPush, biometrics, NFC, camera and GPS

Team

The people you would work with

Add team members to content/about.json under team.members, then set team.enabled to true.

Team profiles coming soon

We would rather introduce the actual engineers on a call than publish stock photography.

Meet the team

Next step

If this sounds like the team you need,

tell us what you are trying to build. We will tell you honestly whether we are the right fit for it.
